Meijer is at $3.65 this morning. My spreadsheet says that E85 should be $3.08.
Ouch.

You have inspired me to try and ruin my car too. I've been putting increasing amounts of e85 in my 2.0T equipped VW. Last tank was about 7/16 e85. No CEL after about 190 miles. Next tank will be 100% e10 since I'm not now near a station that sells e85. e85was $2.99/gallon when I started my experiment. It's now up to $3.35 as of Saturday. But when I filled up with e85 that day I noticed a promotion called "85 for 85" where the station sells ethanol for 85¢ a gallon for 85 minutes at noon each day (party like it's 1985!).
Mileage on about a quarter tank is mixed. The first tank was about 27Mpg. The second was 23 but this was under very irregular driving conditions. Unleaded gas under similar conditions to my normal driving yields around 28 to 32 Mpg.
