My buddy has a flex fuel F-150. He also has a scanner that plugs into the OBD port and tells him how much ethanol is in the fuel.
His last fillup at Meijer was only 60% ethanol. Before that he filled up at Family Express and it was 80% ethanol.
I borrowed the scanner, I'll try and see if it works with my Crown Vic.

Crown Vic tank #6
E85 was $1.18 today. 87 octane gas was $2.38 and premium was $2.88.
I was at 107002 miles, last tank was at 106699 miles, for 303 miles on this tank. I filled up with 18.411 gallons, for 16.45 miles per gallon.
I saved $9.87 by using E85 vs. premium, not considering the mileage penalty.

Crown Vic tank # 5
E85 was $1.99 today, I always like getting fuel for less than $2 a gallon. ;). 87 octane gas was $2.19 and premium was $2.59.
I was at 106699 miles, last tank was at 106432 miles, for 267 miles on this tank. I filled up with 17 gallons, for 15.7 miles per gallon. That seems to be what I get on E85 in mixed driving, 1/2 highway and 1/2 local suburban.
I saved $10.20 by using E85 vs. premium, not considering the mileage penalty.
The car is running outstanding on E85, you have no idea drive ability wise that you're not running regular gas.
